We’re always staying up to date with our State Legislature so when a bill gets introduced that supports parks, we can speak up in support and help get it passed. 

This year, we are co-sponsoring Assembly Bill 1150 (Community Access For All) alongside Outdoor Outreach. The bill would make it easier and more affordable for trusted nonprofits to provide programs in state parks for communities that have experienced barriers to accessing our park system.

About the Webinar: 
The new legislative session comes with new bills and new opportunities to protect our parks. Learn about a key piece of legislation that California State Parks Foundation and Outdoor Outreach will be advocating for in the 2023 session, including our sponsored legislation aiming to increase community access to state parks. Speakers include Abigail Mighell of Environment and Energy Consulting and a panel of advocates and partners. 

The Park Advocate Webinar series educates attendees about the relationship between policymaking (legislation and budget process) and California state parks, giving park advocates the information and tools to advocate for the state parks system.
